The Alabama Farmers Federation has endorsed Dale Strong for Congress and they delivered that news at a roundtable discussion with local farmers. The discussion focused on the issues, challenges and opportunities facing family farmers in Washington. Dale Strong was joined by the following county directors: Jackson County’s Phillip Thompson, Lauderdale County’s Joe Dickerson, Limestone County’s Jeff Peek, Madison County’s Charles Butler and Morgan County’s Mark Byrd.
“Our members are happy to endorse and support Dale Strong for Congress. Our farmers and county leaders made their voice clear. They want a Congressman that will be their voice in Washington DC. Dale understands the unique issues farmers face, and will work hard for all families in congressional district five. He knows what is at stake and will stand up for what’s right. He is a true conservative leader that will get the job done,” said Mitt Walker, Assistant Director of the Governmental and Agricultural Programs Department.
“There is only one individual in this congressional race who understands firsthand the issues, challenges, and opportunities that farmers and their industry face in this district, and that is Dale Strong. Dale knows hard work and will always be a friend to the Agricultural community and the people who work in it. We are honored to support and endorse Dale Strong for Congress because he is the right man for the job and he cares about Agriculture,” said Rex Vaughn, Alabama Farmers Federation North AL Vice President.
“I am honored to have the support and endorsement of the Alabama Farmers Federation. Growing up in Monrovia my first job was at the Strong Shop Ez. A rural store run by my parents that served our local farmers. I learned at an early age that feeding our farmers meant you had to be up before dawn to make the biscuits and when it was time to gin the cotton you might work all night. Nobody works harder than our farm families. They put food on our tables, make Alabama’s economy stronger and help ensure that we have the ability to feed our nation without relying on foreign sources. I will be proud to be their voice in Washington and work every day to make sure they have a level playing field for their crops and will fight to protect this nation’s family farms for the next generation,” said Strong.
